Regulatory Advice & Policy Specialist

12-month FTC | Up to £46,320 | 1 day a week in office | Wealth Platform / MIFID / CASS experience required

If you’re someone who thrives on technical detail, sees regulatory change as an opportunity, and wants to be part of something that genuinely supports professionals across the UK — this could be your next meaningful move.

We’re looking for a Regulatory Advice & Policy Specialist to join a well-established, values-driven mutual on a 12-month fixed-term contract. With a focus on quality, not quotas, this team supports GPs, teachers, dentists and hospital doctors through financial advice and product governance that always puts the customer first.

Would you like the freedom and flexibility to plan your work around your life and manage your schedule effectively whilst working from home most of the time? You will only need to be in the office 1 day a week.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, translating regulatory change into practical insight, helping guide product governance, and reviewing communications to ensure they’re compliant and clear.

This role would suit someone with a strong understanding of UK financial services regulation, and experience in MIFID, Wealth platforms, or Client Assets (CASS). You’ll need to be able to work from their Birmingham office once a week — and bring both technical credibility and approachable communication skills.

This is a pivotal role in helping the Group stay ahead of regulatory change and maintain its high standards of compliance across product design, advice, and communications.

 Your role:

  • Monitoring and interpreting FCA, PRA and other legislative updates
  • Supporting stakeholders with regulatory advice across advice, product, and marketing
  • Reviewing and signing off customer-facing documents, financial promotions, and training materials
  • Contributing to wider strategic initiatives and product governance

For this role you will need:

  • Financial services compliance or regulatory experience
  • Either Wealth Platform, MIFID or CASS knowledge
  • Level 4 qualification (CII Diploma or similar) or working towards it
  • Strong working knowledge of UK regulatory framework (FCA Handbook etc.)
  • Ability to interpret regulation and apply it commercially and clearly
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

This really is a fantastic opportunity to join a well respected and successful company – where you can make real impact!
