The opportunity

You will take responsibility for building, developing and leading a high-performing adviser population, creating the structure, environment and support systems that enable advisers to thrive.

You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, shaping how financial advisers are recruited, onboarded, developed and supported, while embedding a culture of excellence, professionalism and continuous improvement across the business.

This is a role for someone who enjoys building high standards, strong financial advice teams, and sustainable growth.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Financial Adviser recruitment and integration
  • Attracting high-calibre financial advisers who align with the wealth management firm’s values and vision
  • Designing structured onboarding journeys that support early success
  • Creating a consistent, high-quality experience for new Financial Advisers joining the business

Performance & development

  • Setting clear performance frameworks and expectations
  • Creating meaningful KPIs that drive strong client and commercial outcomes
  • Coaching Financial Advisers to reach their full professional potential
  • Developing long-term career pathways and progression routes
  • Embedding a culture of learning, development and continuous improvement

Leadership & culture

  • Setting the tone for standards, professionalism and accountability
  • Building a positive, high-performance culture rooted in trust and support
  • Acting as a mentor and role model for Financial Advisers
  • Creating an environment where people feel empowered to excel

Growth & business building

  • Shaping the growth strategy for the Financial Adviser population
  • Supporting Financial Advisers with structured business development frameworks
  • Developing new commercial opportunities and strategic initiatives
  • Enabling advisers to build sustainable, scalable client businesses

Senior leadership involvement

  • Taking an active role in shaping the firm’s long-term strategy
  • Representing the business across professional networks and the wider industry
  • Contributing to key leadership decisions and future planning
  • Bringing strong judgement, ownership and accountability to leadership

About you

This role suits someone who combines commercial strength with people leadership.

You’ll bring:

  • Senior sales leadership experience within wealth management
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (preferred but not essential)
  • A strong proven track record of building and leading successful adviser teams
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and develop people
  • A values-led, people-centred leadership style
  • Strategic thinking with strong execution capability
  • High professional credibility and personal standards
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks
  • Emotional intelligence, energy and resilience
  • Confidence operating at senior leadership and board level
