This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner Manager to remotely manage, develop and nurture a team of around 7 Paraplanners at one of the UKs leading independent Financial Advisory firms.

Does this describe you?

  • Passionate, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all things financial, with experience in financial planning research and reporting
  • Enjoying managing and supporting a team of Paraplanners, with excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver constructive feedback with sensitivity, and build supportive relationships across all levels
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified with previous experience managing a team of 7 paraplanners, with an excellent knowledge of the FCA regulations
  • An individual able to determine when to structure, nurture and develop, and when to stand back and trust the team
  • Strong technical financial services industry skills and knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure, striving for continuous improvement, with an excellent attention to detail, and an innovative outlook
  • Open and transparent in your communication and working relationships

In this role, you will be:

  • Working full time remotely
  • Managing Paraplanning support, ensuring continued delivery of high quality technical and report writing services to Advisers, keeping on top of operational issues, such as staffing or workflow issues
  • Recruiting, managing, training, monitoring and developing high quality Paraplanners, whilst remaining within timescales, budget and headcount levels
  • Nurturing and developing trainee Paraplanners, and ensuring the training and developmental needs of the rest of your team are also being met
  • Liaising with other Paraplanning Managers to guarantee there is the necessary resource and technical coverage available for report writing, and that quality and turnaround times are as required
  • Continually and proactively assessing workflow, adherence to compliance regulations and any team concerns, whilst noting and acting on any areas you think require improvement
