As a Paraplanner you will be joining one of the UK’s largest financial planning and investment firms, known for its long-standing reputation and trusted client relationships.

This vacancy is due to an internal promotion and is offered as a 1-year fixed term contract, with the prospect of this becoming a full-time role after this term. This is a company that is growing and flourishing and has a great reputation for client care and complex financial advice.

Do you want to be part of a collaborative, friendly paraplanning team at a leading Financial Planning company, supporting IFAs in delivering exceptional financial advice to HNW and UHNW wealth management clients?

If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

You will be working from home but will need to come into the Bristol office 1 day a month (travel expenses are covered).  This opportunity is initially a 12-month fixed term contract, but there is the potential to be full time at the end of this. 

If you enjoy paraplanning for experienced high net worth Financial Planners, then this is the role for you!

Your role:

  • Carrying out thorough research and calculations, consulting senior team members when needed
  • Researching and reviewing relevant legislation, technical updates, and product information to support decision-making
  • Conducting and delivering in-depth financial research on products and investments
  • Analysing existing investment portfolios, comparing them against suitable benchmarks, and preparing bespoke investment reports for clients
  • Preparing and interpreting complex plan information in order to complete transfer analysis
  • Creating comprehensive financial planning reports across multiple financial areas
  • Participating in firm-wide research projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines

Does this describe you?

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified, or above
  • Strong report writing expertise, showing a high standard of written and numerical skill
  • Self-motivated and efficient, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive and Team-Oriented – Someone who enjoys collaboration and contributing to a thriving team
  • Professional, proactive, and a positive attitude with an ability to multi-task
  • Self-organised and able to prioritise workload to meet agreed deadlines
  • Experience in the Financial Advice/Wealth Management industry, with a knowledge and passion of providing excellent support and research
